Once you've been accepted, your new MBNA card should arrive through the post in 7-10 days.

 

Before you get your card, read our handy tips below - so you can make the most of your MBNA account when your card drops through your letterbox.

Put in a transfer request?

You don’t need to do anything if you made a transfer at the application stage.  We’ll take care of them for you, and you’ll see the balance plus the transfer fees in the account summary section on your first statement or we will get in touch if we need more information.

Already set up a Direct Debit?

If you’ve opted to pay by Direct Debit, we’ll let your bank know on your behalf. Once set up, your payment will be automatically taken every month.  You might need to make a manual payment another way until we let you know it’s in place.

Registered for Online Card Services?

The easiest way to manage your card is using Online Card Services, where you can do everything from activating your card, making a payment to checking your statement. You’ll have to register first, so keep your card close-to-hand as you’ll need a few details from it.

Prefer doing things on the go?

If managing your credit card stuff on the move is more your thing, try the MBNA Card Services App – simply register for online card services, download the app and log in using the same details as online card services.

Making transfers

If you didn’t request any transfers1 when you first applied for your card, or you have some more you’d like to add, do it in Online Card Services - just go to ‘Make a Transfer’. Once you’re there, just follow the instructions.

You’ll also see useful stuff like how much you can transfer, what rates and fees will be applied, and how long transfers will take to go through.

Need additional cards holders?

Did you know you can add up to 3 additional cardholders to your account? They’ll each get their own card and PIN to use.  Just log into Online Card Services and go to ‘Manage Account’, you can do it from there.

Any additional cardholder(s) must be over 18 years of age, reside at the same primary address, and have a relationship of close family member (defined as; spouse, child, parent, sibling or domestic partner). Please note additional cardholder(s) will have access to your account information including transaction details.
