How to view, unlock or change your PIN
We’re here to help you with common PIN problems.
- View your PIN securely in the MBNA mobile app.
- Change your PIN at most UK cash machines.
For security reasons, we can’t tell you your PIN over the phone.

To get a PIN reminder
- Log in to the app. Select 'My card' on the navigation bar.
- Choose the relevant card and then select 'View PIN'. You’ll only be able to view the PIN on active cards.
- Select 'Show PIN'. Your PIN will appear on screen for 10 seconds; you can select 'Hide PIN' to hide it sooner.
- That's it, you've viewed your PIN and can check it again anytime.

If you enter your PIN incorrectly 3 times while shopping, your PIN will be locked. You can unlock it at most UK cash machines.
To unlock your PIN at a cash machine
- Put in your card and enter your PIN.
- Select 'PIN Services' then 'Unlock your PIN'.
- Your PIN has been unlocked.
If you are abroad, you can unlock your PIN at most cash machines once you return to the UK.

If you enter your PIN incorrectly 3 times at a cash machine, your PIN will be blocked.
Message us online if you need help unblocking your card. If you don’t use online services, you can call us.

You can change your PIN at most UK cash machines.
To change your PIN
- Put in your card and enter your PIN.
- Select 'PIN Services' then your own PIN.
- Enter your new PIN and select 'enter'.
- Confirm your PIN and select 'enter'.
- All done, your PIN is now changed.
