Liverpool FC and MBNA broaden relationship with new product offers and special moments for fans

Liverpool FC and credit card experts MBNA are broadening their long-standing relationship by creating new product offers and special moments for the club’s fans.

From grassroots to Premier League clubs, MBNA is committed to football at every level. The cards expert has built long-standing relationships with leading clubs and provided special rewards for their fans. MBNA has its roots in the North West of England, and has been based in Chester since 1993.

Now, MBNA is celebrating the army of Liverpool FC fans who support their club, day in day out, with competitions, prizes, events, offers, the opportunity to meet club legends, and even the chance to “Face The Kop” at Anfield.

New deal to benefit LFC fans

MBNA has issued the Liverpool FC credit card for almost two decades, and the renewed relationship will see MBNA now become Official Partner of Liverpool Football Club in the UK. To celebrate, MBNA is presenting a truly special event – “Face The Kop”. Supporters of clubs across the UK can win the opportunity to play on the iconic Anfield pitch.

MBNA presents Face The Kop – enter now!

To celebrate, MBNA is offering football fans the chance to play on the hallowed turf at Anfield and to score a goal in front of the legendary Kop – cheered on by an audio recording of Liverpool FC’s faithful fans – on 23 May 2017.

A short film has been released via MBNA’s social media pages to launch the prize draw. It features appearances from Sadio Mané, Joël Matip and Philippe Coutinho, as well as Liverpool legend Ian Rush. The players encourage fans of all clubs to dream big and ask themselves: ‘What if I got to play in front of the Kop?’

Poole continued: “Through the MBNA relationship with Liverpool FC, Face The Kop is an exclusive opportunity for fans to experience a special moment, playing on the iconic Anfield pitch.”

The prize draw is open to entries from fans of all clubs – home and away – from 23:59pm on 19 April 2017 and closes at 23.59pm 11 May 2017, when eight home team fans and seven away team fans (two tickets per person) will be chosen at random. You can enter by going to MBNA’s Facebook or Twitter page. It is open only to residents of the UK who are aged 18 years or over. Whichever team they support, the winners will always remember 23 May 2017 as the day they were able to #FaceTheKop with MBNA and Liverpool FC.

Footnote: National Football Museum exhibition

MBNA, in collaboration with the National Football Museum in Manchester, is launching a virtual Face The Kop exhibition (from 19 April until 30 June). Visitors can step inside this innovative installation and experience a realistic simulation of the legendary Anfield atmosphere. Fans have from now until 11 May 2017 to enter the prize draw at the National Football Museum installation, when six winners (two tickets per person) will be selected at random.
