Chester’s biggest fireworks display, organised by Chester Lions in association with MBNA, took place on Saturday 7 November at Chester Racecourse.
Thousands of people watched the spectacular event while enjoying fabulous live music from Oblivion and soloist Caitlin Drake. First-class family entertainment was provided by a funfair and a host of clowns, jugglers and face painters.
Profits raised on the night will be distributed to Chester Lions local charities.
Brian Goodall, president of Chester Lions, said: “We were really delighted that so many members of the local community turned out in force to celebrate this fantastic event. The money raised will benefit Chester Lions local charities and will make a significant difference to the lives of a huge number of people.”
MBNA worked with Chester Racecourse to provide private boxes for use by a number of local charities that its employees support.
Ian O’Doherty, chief executive at MBNA said: “This year’s event was really fantastic and we were very pleased to be involved again. I hope everyone enjoyed a spectacular evening’s entertainment.”
