Credit agencies

If you have been the victim of identity theft, contact one of the main credit agencies listed here. They can also supply you with a copy of your personal credit report for a small fee. Check your credit report carefully and liaise with the credit agency to make amendments to your personal files.

APACS initiatives

APACS, the UK payments association, manages two UK bank industry initiatives on behalf of its member banks. One is Card Watch, which aims to raise awareness of card fraud prevention. The other is Bank Safe Online, which aims to help bank customers stay safe online by providing information on the latest types of online scams that are affecting web users.
