Make a payment
Pay online: Log on to Online Banking
Payments taken before 5 p.m., Monday to Friday will be credited to your MBNA credit card account in 2 working days. Payments made after 5 p.m. or on weekends or bank holidays will be credited to your account in 3 working days. Payments made after 2:30 p.m. on the last day of each month will take an extra day to be credited to your account. In all cases, you will see your payment in Online Banking the day after it is credited to your account.

Note: Whilst we do not set restrictions on the amount you can pay using your debit card on our Online Banking site, your debit card issuer may set a transaction limit.

Please make your cheque payable to MBNA EBL and remember to write your card number on the front of the cheque in the top left–hand corner. Payments are processed daily Monday to Friday (except bank holidays) and are credited upon receipt. Be sure to allow up to 7 working days for your payment to be received and posted to your account.

Payments should be made at least 5 working days before the due date shown on your statement.
Pay at a bank:Use the Bank Giro Credit slip at the bottom of your statement. All types of payment, including cash, should be made at least 5 working days before the due date shown on your statement. A bank other than the Co–operative Bank may charge a fee.

Transfer balances:Log on to Online Banking
You can transfer a balance from other credit cards and store cards to your MBNA credit card. After you log on, click "Manage Account" then "Submit a Balance Transfer" and submit a secure e–form to us. Learn more.

Get cash from a bank:If you need cash and don't have your PIN, take your credit card and another piece of identification into any bank displaying the logo on your credit card: MasterCard, or Visa. Cash service for American Express cardholders is only available from cashpoints and not over the counter.
