What does the charity do?

The Royal British Legion safeguards the welfare, interest and memory of those who are serving or have served in the Armed Forces. Caring and campaigning for the serving and ex-Service community

Last year the Legion helped 1,300 homeless ex-Service men and women find their own home and have continued to support them as they re-enter mainstream society.

Last year 3,500 ex-Service people and their dependants were able to enjoy a break at one of the Legion’s Poppy Break Centres.
Last year the Legion provided more than £20 million in welfare grants to ex-Service men, women and their dependants in need.

What work do donations support?

500 reward points plus bank match is £5

£5 will ensure that a housebound or hospitalised person receives a one hour friendship visit.

2000 reward points plus bank match is £25

£20 would contribute towards an emergency grant to provide essentials like food, fuel, clothing or bedding to an ex-Service person struggling to survive.

3000 reward points plus bank match is £30

£30 could help towards providing skilled advice and an hour's representation for a person at a Disability Allowance or War/Disablement Pension tribunal.

7500 reward points plus bank match is £75

£75 could help towards providing a fresh start for an ex-Service man or woman, with a place on a vocational assessment course which can help them adjust to life outside the Services and introduce them to new civilian skills
